We are excited to share that the Micah Projects Board has announced the permanent appointment of Bridget Kinch to the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), conveying their confidence in her to lead Micah Projects' strong vision for social justice and inclusion in our community.
Bridget brings more than two decades of experience at Micah Projects and is dedicated to upholding the organisation's values-led approach to serving the needs of the community.
In the past ten months as Acting CEO, Bridget has overseen important milestones, including securing significant funding commitments, progressing the acquisition and development of our new Health and Homelessness Hub and strengthening organisational systems, governance and operational arrangements for the future.

I am incredibly honoured to take on this role and thank the Board for their trust. I believe whole-heartedly in the work Micah Projects does alongside our community and look forward to providing support and leadership, as we continue to deliver the vision and purpose that Karyn and many others have worked towards over many decades.
Working in partnership with the senior leadership team and Board, Bridget aims to keep the momentum of Micah Projects' 2026 achievements, while looking ahead to the bold direction of the Strategic Roadmap, which will include:
Establishing the new Health and Homelessness Hub in South Brisbane
Maintaining responsive services in the face of increasing community need and funding cuts for crisis responses
Continuing to improve safety, access to healthcare and housing-first outcomes through collaboration and integrated responses
Preventing homelessness before it occurs through early intervention, support to sustain tenancies, and advocacy for systems change.
The community is continuing to face hardship and adversity, making our vision and purpose more vital than ever. We will continue to work towards this every day, while ensuring we embed our core beliefs and values within this work.
