Bridget joined Micah Projects in the early 2000s, when the organisation was still based at St Mary’s Church in South Brisbane.
Over two decades, Bridget has supported Micah Project’s growth from a small team supporting a few hundred people each year to a multi‑service organisation of more than 300 staff supporting over 30,000 individuals annually. She led Micah’s finance, human resources and business teams through major periods of change, helping build the operational foundations that allow frontline teams to adapt services during floods, COVID and rising housing instability.
During many changes and while responding to the impacts of the recent housing crisis, Bridget has kept the same focus: building relationships, strengthening teams and making sure people receive the support they need, when they need it.
Looking ahead: leading through purpose, connection and our 2024 Strategic Roadmap
As Acting CEO, Bridget’s role is to guide Micah Projects through this transition while keeping our purpose and direction steady. The organisation’s 2024 Strategic Roadmap: Breaking Down the Silos sets out a clear path for the years ahead — one that Bridget has helped shape and is committed to progressing.
Bridget continues to work closely with our experienced senior leadership team to ensure stability across all programs and services in the areas of homelessness, domestic and family violence, inclusive health partnerships, supporting housing, equity and systems change, social enterprise, and community connection and women, children and families.
Working in partnership with the senior leadership team and Board, her focus is simple: support our teams, maintain momentum, and keep the people we work alongside at the centre of every decision.
Note: Bridget was awarded an Outstanding Global Intrapreneur in 2024 > Awards 2024 | Global Intrapreneurs Summit
