Parents as Teachers
At Micah Projects, we understand the importance of giving children the best start in life. That's why we've integrated the Parents as Teachers model into our family support services.
This evidence-based, intergenerational approach aims to break cycles of intergenerational disadvantage by assisting parents to understand and develop confidence in parenting for their child's developmental needs.
Through home visits and group activities, we work with parents and children together to ensure that families receive the wrap around support they need to gain independence.
We're proud to be one of the first organisations in Australia to implement this model.
