We are excited to share an important achievement for Micah Projects and the community: the development of a new Health and Housing Hub in South Brisbane. The Hub will provide free, trauma-informed health, housing and social support services for people experiencing homelessness, disadvantage and social isolation.
Planned to open in late 2027, the Health and Housing Hub represents a major milestone in Micah Projects' long-standing advocacy for a place that combines services to help people access care, support and connection in a welcoming and accessible environment.
Through our work, we see every day the challenges people face when trying to access health and support services. Many people experience barriers that make it harder to access the right care at the right time, and local health, housing, and community services are under increasing pressure to respond.
The Health and Housing Hub will be located at 6 Cordelia Street, South Brisbane and will bring together a wide range of services under one roof, including primary health care, allied health, women’s health, dental services, housing and homelessness support, advocacy services, and trauma-informed case management. More than addressing immediate needs, it will help reduce barriers, strengthen relationships, and support a more inclusive and equitable community.
It will also provide opportunities to build academic and clinical partnerships and develop a skilled, multidisciplinary workforce equipped to meet the challenges of today and into the future.

The Hub is made possible through funding from a Community Grant provided by the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, along with a generous grant from The Ellen Whitty Trust.
Advocacy and Vision
The Health and Housing Hub is an important step towards creating a more connected, inclusive system of care where people can access support earlier and in a place that recognises their dignity and understands their needs.
For more than 30 years, Micah Projects has been committed to supporting people experiencing adversity, exclusion, and injustice in our community.
After many years of advocacy and collaboration, we have secured the support needed to make the Health and Housing Hub a reality.
As we progress, we will work closely with government, funding partners, health services, educators, researchers, community organisations and our broader community to shape the Health and Housing Hub together.
