Health and Housing Hub
Micah Projects is creating a Health and Housing Hub in South Brisbane, offering free health and social support services for people experiencing hardship, isolation, or other challenges.
Located at 6 Cordelia Street, the Hub will bring together GPs, nurses, allied health professionals, community workers, and partner organisations in one welcoming, accessible location. Close to hospitals, public transport, and existing Micah Projects services, the Hub will make it easier for people to access the care and support they need.
Why does Brisbane need a Health and Housing Hub?
People experiencing homelessness often face serious health challenges and die far younger than the general population.

As with all our projects and services, Micah Projects welcomes partnerships with health providers, community organisations, universities and other stakeholders.

When the Health and Housing Hub opens in late 2027, it will provide a range of free health, wellbeing and support services. Some services will be available from opening, with others introduced over time as the Hub grows.
Why does Brisbane need a Health and Housing Hub?
People experiencing homelessness often face serious health challenges and die far younger than the general population.
For people sleeping rough, the median age at death is just 47 years.
Many people live with chronic illness, mental health challenges, trauma and substance dependence while struggling to access the healthcare and support they need. Too often, care is fragmented and only available when a crisis occurs.
The Health and Housing Hub will provide a welcoming place where people can access healthcare, housing support and community services in one location.

Building this Vision
For many years, Micah Projects has advocated for a Health and Housing Hub in South Brisbane to better support people experiencing hardship.
Many people face complex health challenges and barriers to accessing the care they need. The Hub will bring health, housing and social support together in one welcoming place, making it easier for people to access coordinated, trauma-informed care.
More than meeting immediate needs, the Hub will foster connection, reduce barriers to support, and help build a healthier, more inclusive community.

Bringing services together
By bringing services together in one safe and supportive environment, the Hub will help people get the care they need, when they need it. Building on Micah Projects' experience, this integrated approach supports better health, reduces the need for crisis care, and helps create stronger, healthier communities.

Bulk-billed GP care
Women’s health services
Dental care
Allied health services, including podiatry, psychology and mental health support
Housing, family and community support services
Peer support and wellbeing programs
