This year, Linda from Young Mothers Young Women (YMYW) Redcliffe was proudly nominated by a young mother as one of Redcliffe’s Most Inspirational Women for 2026.
Linda supported this young mother through her pregnancy with kindness, understanding, and practical support. Over time, they built a strong relationship based on trust. Linda helped her connect with other young mums, and shared information about her child's development so she felt confident and supported every step of the way.
Throughout every stage, Linda met her where she was - with dignity, respect, and genuine care. She created a safe, welcoming space where the young mother felt heard, valued, and empowered. Linda’s wraparound support included child health home visits, facilitating playgroups, safety planning, and providing education around domestic and family violence.

Linda is passionate about helping women understand domestic, family, and sexual violence. By listening without judgement and offering practical support, Linda has walked alongside women as they rebuild their lives. She has supported women to apply for domestic violence orders, attend court, access counselling, and take the next steps towards safety and independence.
Linda's knowledge, compassion, and genuine care have helped her build strong relationships within the community. These connections make it easier for young families to access the support they need when they need it most. She is highly respected by her colleagues and is a trusted advocate who is committed to helping every family feel supported, heard, and valued.
