Guests celebrated and reflected on 30 years working alongside the community.
2025 marks 30 years of Micah Projects. While we've seen a lot of change, we hold the same goals: to achieve a community where inclusion, equality and diversity are valued. We support people to move beyond poverty, homelessness, trauma, and isolation to realise their aspirations and dignity. This was the vision of the founding members, and we continue to hold the vision for a more socially just and inclusive society.
Over 30 years, the presence of our supporters has been like yeast is to flour – it has enabled our growth to be grounded to the principles of Act Justly, Love Tenderly and Walk Humbly. A journey that has resulted in changes and challenges: people becoming housed, accessing healthcare, seeking redress and restorative relationships, connection with families and community, through healing, recovery, justice and inclusion.

During 2024-25, we continued to strive to create justice and respond to injustice in the lives of individuals, women, children and families, while promoting equality, inclusion and acceptance. We continued to focus on:
- A housing First Approach to address homelessness
- Supporting and giving voice to children and family experiences
- Deepening partnerships for reducing inequality in Brisbane
- Strengthening pathways in training and employment
- Embedding parents as stakeholder in the child protection system through the Family Inclusion Network.
During 2024-25, 30,691 people connected with Micah Projects across all services:
- 78,228 nights of crisis accommodation brokered for families and individuals
- 6,974 people supported at the Homelessness and Housing Hub
- 314 people supported to sustain their tenancy
- 2,371 instances of assertive outreach by Street to Home to people on the street
- 1,435 people supported at the Inclusive Health and Wellness Hub
- 12,380 women supported by Domestic and Family Violence Services
- 16,425 meals cooked at Hope Street Café and distributed through Micah Projects services
- 1,335 people engaged through Lotus Services
We have all kinds of partnerships with our participants, governments, business, community organisations, advocates, commissioners, individuals and philanthropic organisations. We are proud to continue the spirit of community, respecting faith or spirituality as a motivator to create change and mostly be a witness to hope by doing what we believe is important to make a difference through partnerships that matter.
We express thanks to the willingness of people to be on our Board over the years, and a diverse, dedicated, generous and skilled workforce who put into action the aspirations of our many supporters and members.
It is with gratitude and a great sense of purpose that we celebrate our 30 years.
