Join our Roundtable with Rosanne Haggerty: Healthcare and Homelessness as a matter of equity.
WHEN + WHERE:
Wed, 9 Oct, 2:30pm - 4:30pm AEST
Souths Leagues Club West End
About the event:
Using a health system focus, we will develop a research, policy and action agenda to:
- reduce homelessness
- lower health care costs
- improve health outcomes
for people including children and families experiencing homelessness and domestic and family violence.
Addressing differences in the social determinants of health and homelessness makes progress toward health equity. A state in which every person has the opportunity to attain their highest level of health and have a home. The social determinants of health provide an excellent opportunity for housing, homelessness and health services to work together.
Rosanne Haggerty is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Community Solutions. She is an internationally recognised leader in developing innovative strategies to end homelessness and strengthen communities.
This is a free event. Spaces are limited.
Afternoon Tea will be provided.
