The Hive

Social inclusion program

The Hive program provides in-home services and social inclusion activities to vulnerable people so they feel engaged and supported.

Research shows that loneliness is a key factor in ongoing cycles of homelessness.

To break this cycle, The Hive program provides participants with access to a support network, healthy, active lifestyles, improved independent living skills, and the confidence to participate in the community and sustain their tenancies.

Are you eligible?

The program is available to people under 65 (or under 50 years for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders) who are:

  • Experiencing social isolation in the community
  • Not eligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
  • Impacted by a long-term disability, chronic illness, mental health or another condition
  • Transitioning from homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
