‘Hands are for Holding’ is a tool for adults to discuss issues surrounding violence with young children. The children’s book provides an opportunity to talk with children about not hurting or harming brothers, sisters, friends or family pets.

Originally published in 2001 in conjunction with the Domestic Violence Resource Centre (now BDVS), Tess Rowley's book, ‘Hands are for Holding’ has been a popular resource for parents and professionals teaching children about positive communication.
