The Brisbane Domestic Violence Advocacy Service (BDVAS) is a community based organisation that provides a free and confidential advocacy and support service for women, children, family members and individuals affected by domestic and family violence in the Brisbane Metropolitan area. This service can help by providing information about housing, advice and support, and practical assistance such as where to get meals, showers and clothing.
Brisbane Homelessness Service Centre (BHSC)
Micah Projects is the lead agency at the BHSC. Micah Projects Homelessness to Home Support Services are based here, providing a range of innovative and evidence based responses to prevent homelessness and respond quickly to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. This includes proactive outreach to rough sleepers, information and referrals for people who are homeless and support to prevent people from becoming homeless. Phone (07) 3036 4444.

Queensland Ombudsman
The Queensland Ombudsman's Office is an independent complaints investigation agency. Their role is to ensure public agencies (state government departments and bodies, and local councils) act fairly and make the right decisions for Queenslanders.
They also help public agencies improve their decision-making and administrative practice for the benefit of the community.
