Lotus Place

Lotus Place is the nation’s first dedicated Forgotten Australians support service and drop in centre. It has emerged through continued dialogue between the Historical Abuse Network and a commitment by the State Government to those who were harmed in church, state, foster care, detention centres and adult mental health institutions. Lotus Place is currently located at 56 Peel Street, South Brisbane Q 4101.

Micah Projects Forgotten Australians Support Services and the Historical Abuse Network are located here providing support and counselling services.

Lotus Place provides:

  • A safe place
  • Reliable connections to others, where their shared experiences of childhood and the consequences of this are respected
  • A gateway to government and community services.
