Terry Fitzpatrick

Terry Fitzpatrick

Secretary
MSWAP. Master of Social Welfare Administration and Planning. Registered Nurse. Catholic Priest.

It has been a privilege to have been with Micah Projects since it formed and its Secretary for a number of years. I have been a Catholic Priest for 22 years, 16 years at St Mary's South Brisbane and 6 years in rural and remote Australia.

St Mary’s Community has had a strong social justice commitment responding to local, national and international issues for many years. My life enriching experiences in nursing and studies in social work have assisted me in my work as a priest and as secretary to Micah Projects. My work as a chaplain to the Catholic Aboriginal Community since the mid 1990’s has been both challenging and rewarding. This work has assisted me in understanding some of the issues and problems faced by the First Australians dispossessed of land and culture.
